Leading accountancy firm adds financial planning string to its bow

South Wales accountancy practice, UHY Peacheys, has boosted its service portfolio and launched a financial planning offering to help its business clients manage their finances.

Carbon Financial Planning will operate from the accountancy firm’s Newport office. The new venture is headed up by Simon Harrison, who has extensive experience in financial consultancy and corporate finance, having previously run Flexible Commercial Funding Ltd

Carbon will offer a commercial brokerage service, providing expert advice on matters including: how to raise finance to purchase business premises and services related to cash flow finance, buy-to-let commercial mortgages and investment.

Clients will benefit from valuable information on the best funding options available. The service is designed to free-up time for managing directors so they can concentrate on growing their businesses’.

Simon Harrison, director at Carbon Financial Planning said: “With this new business venture, we aim to capitalize on a gap within the market for a holistic service to meet every aspect of our business clients’ financial objectives.

“The Carbon team has an in-depth knowledge of the financial industry, having worked with some of the biggest blue-chip companies across the UK. Simon also has a strong banking background and worked at Barclays for almost two decades, where he was responsible for providing lending to companies with turnovers of £25 million.

Carbon will aim to capitalize on the large number of SMEs in the south Wales area as well as setting its sights across the UK.
